Garmin GPS on the Water? - garmin marine
I bought a boat.
I see the Garmin Fish Finders SD card slots and can get the pre-loaded on SD cards for them.
The question is: Can I use the chart in a normal SD card Garmin GPS that I bought at BestBuy or somewhere else? (Assuming you have the same SD card)

Go to Garmin website and see if your model is one of the compatible devices. Click on the map, the data you want, and a link is a page with a list of compatible cards starting units in particular.
I would say yes. Most of them the opportunity to have the type of transport you use to choose, including boats, so I do not see why they would be able to implement and use charts.
I hope that when all GPS devices able to use charts to draw the maps on an SD card you have committed. All slots for SD cards to standard SD.
